Earth month is a good reminder to shop locally and sustainably. Practicing conscious consumerism helps to reduce emissions and landfills, and protect our health and the planet's. Therefore, we’ve teamed up with some of our favorite Sustainable Cape May County Businesses to host a Beach Cleanup on April 2nd in Sea Isle City.

  • Where: Beach @ 35th St in Sea Isle City
Winner will be announced at 2pm following the beach cleanup on April 2nd. Winner must attend the cleanup and provide proof of entry (steps above).

The Potato Homestead is run by husband and wife Rob and Alex McKeage (plus their little boys John and Cullen). They are passionate about sustainable agriculture and love getting good food into mouths that need it. The Potato Homestead is a no-spray farm. They do not use any pesticides, herbicides, chemicals, GMOs, plastic mulch, or any other wasteful or harmful farming practices. Just soil, water, and sunshine! They grow over 100 varieties of fruits and vegetables, herbs, and flowers for farmers markets, home delivery, and wholesale.

The brand was born when the owners were cleaning the beach and realized the significant amount of plastic pollution and waste that was winding up in our oceans. They wanted to provide a way for consumers to do good, make sustainability more accessible, and reduce single-use plastics in people's everyday lives.
